Pastor Doretha Fields was taught and introduced to the Word of God from an early age. At the age of 16, she received the gift of the Holy Ghost. She continued to serve at her local church, Bethlehem Temple of East St. Louis, Illinois. Under the leadership of the late Pastor Paralee Freeman, she received training on how to live a life of holiness. There she served as the choir director and a youth leader.

After marrying her husband Bishop Gordon Fields, Sr., she relocated to Norristown, Pennsylvania and became a member of House of God, Temple #2 under the leadership of Mother Ida Belle Sessoms-Howard and later, Apostle Larry T. Owens.

During her early years of ministry, Pastor Fields worked closely alongside the first lady, Elect Lady Bubinea Owens in developing and expanding the work of the missionary department. She developed skits, created materials for missionary outreach, was a vacation bible school teacher and focused on the hospitality ministry. She served in these roles at various times as the Missionary President and Junior Mother President. Pastor Fields also served in the role as a daycare business owner, wedding coordinator and counselor for couples and others seeking godly counsel. She would continue to serve in this capacity of ministry as she transitioned her church home and served under the leadership of the late Carrie James.

In 2005, she alongside her husband Bishop Fields birthed Victory Fellowship Outreach Ministries in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Pastor Fields continues to work alongside her husband to cultivate a family ministry. The Lord has given Pastor Fields a distinct calling as a prophetess and witness of the Lord Jesus Christ. She has performed miracles in the sight of others, cultivated an atmosphere for spiritual deliverance and the breaking of strongholds, and evangelizing the lost through unconventional means. Her song unto the Lord is, “Anytime you want to use me, you can use me any way Lord, anyhow!”

On June 22, 2024 during the Pentecostal Assembly of Jesus Only, Inc. holy convocation, through the laying on of hands, Pastor Fields was consecrated and installed the pastor of Victory Fellowship Outreach Ministries.

She and her husband Bishop Gordon Fields, Sr. have been married for over 40 years and together they have four adult children.
